Confirmation of directorate change

As previously announced on 20 May 2009, SABMiller plc confirms that Dr Dambisa Moyo yesterday joined the SABMiller board as an independent non-executive director.

Dr Moyo is a director of Lundin Petroleum AB.

There are no details to disclose under paragraphs 9.6.13(2) to (6) of the Listing Rules.
