SABMiller plc confirms relevant dates relating to its proposed final dividend
payment for the year ended 31 March 2004.  The final dividend payment is subject
to confirmation at the Annual General Meeting of the Company, to be held on 29
July 2004.

To comply with the requirements of STRATE in South Africa, from the close of
